November 2008. Reconstruction of Krasnodon Regional Order of Nations’ Friendship - the Museum of “Young Guard”.

          In the beginning of November 2008 the filial of AEROBUD "Aerobud - Lugansk" won the tender for reconstruction of Krasnodon Regional Order of Nations' Friendship - the Museum of "Young Guard" (Lugansk region, Krasnodon town, 6 Komsomolskaya St.).

          The specialists of AEROBUD perform the work of installation of ventilation and heating system on the territory of whole museum – 2 500m2 of exposition halls, archives and cabinets.    

Krasnodon museum is largest depository of various documents about "Young Guard" organization.

          Today one can see the renovation of the interest in the feats of the members of this organization. The museum of "Young Guard" is visited by pupils, students, local dwellers, visitors from region and from all Ukraine, and also guests from neighbor and foreign countries. The delegations of more than 120 foreign countries visited it.

          The "Young Guard" was an underground anti-fascist Komsomol organization, in the Nazi-occupied Soviet city of Krasnodon. The organization was founded during the Great Patriotic War (occupation took place since 20 July 1942).

          The building of the "Young Guard" museum started in 1943 and in 1944 it was opened. At that time the collection of funds for construction of "Young Guard" tank column and "The Krasnodon heroes" squadron was organized. In 1970, in the year of 25th anniversary of the Victory, the museum opened its doors for visitors. In 1982 the museum of "Young Guard" was awarded by the order the Friendship of Nations.
